Ṣarf (الصرف, morphology) is the system by which one Arabic root becomes dozens of related words. A three-letter root like ك-ت-ب "writing" is poured into a pattern — form I فَعَلَ, form II فَعَّلَ, form X اِسْتَفْعَلَ and so on — and each pattern is then conjugated for tense (past, present, imperative), mood (indicative, subjunctive, jussive), voice (active, passive) and thirteen person-number-gender pronouns. That is well over a hundred forms per verb, and the weak, doubled and hamzated verbs each bend the rules in their own way.
This conjugator recognises a verb from any of those forms. Type what you actually met in a text — a present-tense plural, an imperative, a maṣdar — and it returns the verb to its base form, tells you which form you typed, and lays out the complete paradigm with correct vowelling.
